Fight Bio: Making an impressive debut in the UFC in 2005, Vera quickly moved up the Heavyweight division earning a shot at the title after defeating former Heavyweight Champion Frank Mir at UFC 65 just 69 seconds into the first round. In 2008 Vera moved to the Light Heavyweight division where he plans to overwhelm opponents with his aggressive striking.
